What is the injection molding temperature for injection molds?
Injection molding temperature is a crucial factor affecting injection molding pressure. The machine has 5 to 6 heating zones, and each raw material has an appropriate processing temperature (detailed processing temperatures can be referred to in the data provided by the material supplier). Injection molding temperature is controlled within a specific range. If the temperature is too low, the melt may not plasticize well, affecting the quality of the molded product and increasing process difficulty. If the temperature is too high, the raw material is prone to decomposition. In actual injection molding processes, the injection molding temperature is usually higher than the barrel temperature, with the difference reaching up to 30°C, depending on injection speed and material properties. This is because the melt undergoes shear when passing through the main runner, generating significant heat. When conducting mold flow analysis, there are two methods to compensate for this difference: one is to measure the temperature when the melt is ejected, and the other is to include the dune effect during modeling.
